Francesca Coniglio is the Principal Occupational Therapist at Spark Occupational Therapy and Consultancy with a Masters of Occupational Therapy (Honours) and over 16 years of practice experience.
Our practice and approach
Francesca has extensive experience working with young people and adults who are experiencing complex mental health challenges and psychosocial disabilities, including trauma experiences and substance use challenges.
She draws upon various evidence-based practices including Values-based Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy.
Francesca brings a genuine, compassionate and creative approach to helping clients feel truly understood in their process of personal growth and healing.

Leadership, supervision and mentoring
In addition, Francesca has held various leadership roles with a focus on supporting the development of recovery-oriented and trauma-informed practices in public mental health services including peer workforce development, rehabilitation service development, and consumer and community engagement and development.
She is an experienced clinical supervisor and offers supervision and mentoring with a particular focus on:
- Trauma-sensitive practices and leadership;
- Working with and navigating systems to support positive systemic change; and,
- Cultivating self-care.
Francesca is an experienced and passionate educator having worked as an educator in public mental health services, and a lecturer and researcher in the discipline of Occupational Therapy.
